The scenario and needs
In Europe, 373 million people need rehabilitation. Of these, about 1 in 5 people require neurorehabilitation care.
However, rehabilitation is often a service “for the few”, because it can be very specialized and costly.
It is therefore of paramount importance to find viable, more sustainable solutions to increase access to rehabilitation: from an intervention “for the few” to an opportunity “for the many.”
In response to this need, Astir Srl, together with Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi – Onlus, developed RICORDO-DTx, a digital platform that aims to bring cognitive rehabilitation from the clinic to the home.
