The scientific and technical partnership
The project is developed in the collaboration between a technological innovation company, ASTIR srl, andIRCCS Fondazione don Carlo Gnocchi, a center of excellence in the research of innovative models for rehabilitation
Astir and Don Gnocchi Foundation began a collaboration in 2014 on designing a digital solution for home cognitive rehabilitation, which began with the ABILITY-Teleriabilitation project and continued with the ReAbility project. Both these R&D projects were co-founded by the Lombardy Region under the European Regional Development Fund – Regional Operational Program 2014-2020.
The digital solution was validated through a User-Centered participatory model that involved: clinicians (physicians and neuropsychologists), technicians (designers, computer scientists and data architects) and end users (more than 150 people with and without cognitive difficulties).
